(Lead) Electrical Engineer

We are looking for a Lead Electrical Engineer responsible for the complete Electrical System of the Squad Solar City Car.

We do support working from home multiple days a week.

Experience: 10+ years of experience would be ideal for the lead engineer position.

Degree: Bachelor's or Master's degree electrical engineering (HBO or WO)

What will you do as an Electrical Engineer?

You will convert the vehicle architecture and requirements into requirements for the electrical system and underlying sub-systems. As an electrical engineer you will be focusing on the electrical architecture of the vehicle, this covers all the systems from the solar panel, to battery, charging and power train, motors and controllers, as well as the data network.

You cooperate intensely within a small team of engineers each covering a subsystem of the vehicle. You will define the electrical system optimized for cost, performance and efficiency. You will work with procurement providing the specifications of the assemblies in a request for proposal and helping with the selection and management of suppliers and/or make or buy strategies.

What do we expect from an electrical engineer?

To succeed in the dynamic world of a startup like Squad Mobility; pro-activity, professionalism, communication and adaptability are crucial. You are flexible and can work under pressure.

You must have:

• At least 5 years experience as Electrical Engineer in Automotive or at least 10 years experience in consumer electronics.

• Experience in writing requirements and requirements validation

• Proven experience in Functional Safety of dangerous equipment or mobility products

• Experience in negotiating with suppliers

• Permission to work without restrictions in the Netherlands

It would be nice if you have:

• Experience in the Automotive Space

• Affinity with Software Development
