Experience: 10+ years of experience would be ideal for lead engineer positions.
Degree: Bachelor's or Master's degree mechanical or electrical engineering or similar (HBO or WO)

What will you do as a Lead Engineer?
You could be working on all systems of the vehicle like the exterior, interior, drivetrain, solar system (PV panel and MPPT’s), telematics, embedded software or structure and suspension. One day you could be running a simulation of your system, the next day you could be talking to suppliers for samples and by the end of the week you could be putting together prototype parts to check integration and functioning.
You cooperate intensely within a small team of engineers each covering a subsystem of the vehicle. You will work with procurement providing the specifications of the assemblies or components in a request for proposal and helping with the selection and management of suppliers and/or make or buy strategies.

You are cost sensitive and come up with practical solutions suitable for our product. You are able to back up your proposals with good data.
Areas of expertise;
Musts:
You are a leader in your field and you can back it up. You know all the common solutions and from that knowledge you are able to come up with new designs to - for example - reduce cost or improve performance.
You have 5 years experience in Automotive or at least 10 years experience in consumer electronics.
Experience in writing requirements and validation.
It would be nice if you have:
Experience in working with foreign suppliers
Affinity with Electric Vehicles and mobility
Two right hands
