Internship: Test Automation setup design for automotive Vehicle Control Units

As an intern at Squad, you will be involved in the specification and validation of the Squad car Vehicle Control Unit (VCU) software and hardware. Although you will be working at Squad, the project you will be working on is split between two parties: Squad Mobility and Brace Automotive. Part of your responsibilities will also be ensuring clear and regular communications between both regarding the project. 

Squad will provide the specifications for the Squad car VCU, as well as implement the software for the VCU. Brace will be designing a portable device that will perform software and hardware testing for vehicle controllers. The test automation device will be connected to the VCU to validate the implemented software functionality, as well as the hardware behavior. In the context of this project, hardware behavior is defined as digital and analog I/O ports, PWM ports and network behavior (CAN and/or LIN networks). Your role will be key in testing the VCU setup and ensuring a productive collab between the parties.

  1. Working independently 
  2. Good communication skills, 
  3. V-cycle development knowledge is a plus
  4. Automotive knowledge is a big plus
  5. Programming knowledge is a plus, especially embedded C
